Its the only problem I had with this game tonight, I liked how we kept up with a very good Triton team, figured out how to slow down the 3s in the second half, and the last couple minutes the offense is how it should always run.
Diaz had his best game yet, and Isaiah Lewis finally hit a clean 3 and a clean 2. Sykes deep shot is struggling but that kid can score in so many ways.
Shay had a nice game as well. Petar was good. I am hopeful like you are, but if DMX is in the dog house Acker, figure it out because you ain't getting wins when the defense can completely sag off a guy like Chaikovsky who never looks to score, ever.

This team has really improved their ball movement and execution. They don't turn the ball over too much and they play hard with great energy. There are a few very skilled and entertaining players... but not enough of them. There are a few players getting a lot of minutes that aren't as skilled as their competition. That's a recruiting problem and isn't likely going to change this year unless the less skilled players have a Ron Johnson epiphany, and that's rare. Another issue is that other teams have offenses that typically generate higher quality shots. Acker's offense requires a lot of individual efforts to create shots. The former will normally beat the latter.
I have seen Fullerton, CP, Bake and others. We are as good as they are now. That wasn't the case a few weeks ago. So we will win some games against those teams. It would be easier to win if Acker figures out that Diaz is his best point guard and needs to get the majority of the minutes. Also, it would be great to know why DMX played just 3 minutes tonight and rarely gets to play a lot of minutes. If he gets more minutes that also makes us better. We can be better.
