Probably hasn’t been a message board topic for the 19 years since Paul Goydos won the event (Damn I’m old AF), but yesterdays final Day 1 leader (Tie) was former Long Beach State golfer Kevin Roy. He’s currently 2 strokes back but the leaders are finished for the day and he’s still playing early in his 2nd round. In his mid 30’s now, was on some early 2010’s LB teams, including Xander X’s year at LB. Started winning a little money on the big tour last year after mostly banging around mini tours for the last decade. Nice to know we have some representation on the current tour, especially a guy who graduated. To be honest, I wasn’t sure it was the same guy. Good for him, hope he cashes a big check!!!!
