Sac State's mascot is a Hornet; I am not sure how a pick fits that mascot.

But our future brethren Sac State is featuring a golden pick axe in their promos for football signings.
Probably going to be the equivalent of the turnover/TD chain or crown or pick your emblem used by teams nowadays on gamedays.
