If we don't figure out a way to develop a relationship with this multi billionaire who grew up in Long Beach, got a degree in journalism at LBSU, and is now opening a new campus for his aerospace firm Anduril in Long Beach, then we might as well go DII and be done with it. Projected to have 5,500 employees.
And if our engineering and business programs aren't working hard at developing long term relationships with the exploding new world aerospace industry in Long Beach, I'll be dismayed. Firms that deal with space force and satellite commercial industries are gaining tons of capital. The strategy is to develop educational relationships and donations / partnerships, invite them to sports games, hope they donate and advertise, stuff like that.
He was an online editor for the Daily Forty Niner so its possible he's a LBSU sports fan and a true 49er at heart.
The founder of Oculus VR when he worked with Meta (then Facebook).
He ain't getting any less rich anytime soon, age 33. Former senator Matt Gaetz is a brother in law. He's a controversial character with some views I don't agree with, but if you look at any big donor list for any university, I bet you find all sorts of characters and a spectrum of views. If you don't want to do the research, he's basically an Elon Musk kind of character, coming at things from that point of view.
