LIU Sharks get harpooned by the Beach 3-0.
No Elbee to be found anywhere just to be clear. But Alan Knipe was there, along with Andy Read. And the 2025 National Championship Banner now proudly hangs at the leaky Myd.
Elbee stinks and the LIU Sharks do too. Kandev is fine but rested, Bloom started and led the team with 13 kills. Beach went on ace binges with 11 for the match. Varga and Cryst with 3, Daniil with 2. Cryst closed out the match with an ace. Doty set the entire 3rd set and looked pretty good. Marquardt got some time at MB and with Pruitt back and looking very springy, LB has the deepest set of MBs in the nation.
Now things get interesting and very very tough. A match at #6 Pepperdine next Friday, some think the Waves might actually be playing like a top 3 right now. The following Friday #1 UCLA strolls into town looking to avenge the national championship broom job the Beach gave em. Those in the know think the Bruins are playing at a very high level right now. If we sweep these matches, we are clearly the best team in the nation. 1-1, we probably remain #2. 0-2 isn't out of the question.
