Indeed, a contract for each non-P5 student athlete in our proposed league should include language specifying that in lieu of direct compensation, they waive that right and will instead receive scholarship/room and board/books/etc. as compensation for their "services". They will NOT receive NIL funding from the school or its boosters/donors.

I think LB is fighting a losing battle, which is why I'm in favor of a separation of the P5 schools from the have nots. Both groups would then compete under different sets of rules regarding compensation, eligibility, transfers, etc. Previous Message
