Of our 6 major sports men's and women's volleyball and softball are doing well. It's a total disgrace to see what the two basketball programs have become. Coach Acker and Coach Wright certainly look to be in over their head. I don't expect the golden years with Tark, Olsen and Bonvicini but wow are these two teams bad! After last night it looks like Baseball is in for another awful season losing 8-0 to lowly San Jose State. I would venture to guess that in 5-10 years, if the spiral downward continues, we will be division 2 or3 or have no athletic programs at all. Obviously we are not the only universities in this horrible state but I went to school at LBSU in the early 70's when basketball was as good as anyone. With money dictating EVERYTHING in college athletics there will be many institutions only having academics in the not too distant future! Total shame as athletics adds so much to an overall education!
