I would love Wilder as well. He'd be a home run hire. I just hated the idea of firing Dan at the time, particularly as he was literally taking us to the NCAA Tournament.
Ultimately this AD is a key reason why this athletic department has been run into the ground. Numerous top coaches have left, and it just feels like the entire operation is based on cronyism and making sure Bobby has a comfortable suite at the Pyramid for donors and himself...not about actually making these teams competitive.

Sorry but there are tons of better candidates than CDM. I would love to see former UCI and Wilson High School star Mike Wilder get a shot. He is currently an asst at New Mexico but he worked with Turner at UCI for the past 12 years. He would have knowledge of the SO Cal BB scene and I would love to see a young, talented guy get a chance. Previous Message
I want to like him, but he's clearly getting outclassed on a nightly basis. Has two of the top talents in the conference and hasn't won a game in a month.
The issue is they won't fire him, probably can't afford to fire him, and this awful athletic director probably would hire someone even worse. So this program is just gonna be failing for a long time.

MBB getting the crap kicked out of them at Davis 39-23 with 4 mins left in the first half. Sorry but Acker is not the long term answer for MBB. He is nothing but a guy that yells and screams and doesn't make adjustments at crunch time. Taking solis in losing close games doesn't cut it anymore. We need someone that isn't afraid to win this close games and Acker it not the guy.
