We are 4-10
Poly is 7-8

So at minimum, we need to win 3 games, including the one against Poly. They would then need to lose out, both at 7-13. Seems unlikely with parity.

If they lose to us and beat lets say Bake (a real possibility with Hawaii, Irvine, and away at UCSD on docket). We would then need to win 4 games out of our last 6 including beating them. We'd both be 8-12, but we would have the first tiebreak of the sweep.

It's not good anyway you slice it.

If they win another of those remaining games, we'd have to beat them, and go 5 wins out of 6.

If somehow we beat Irvine in the ole Black and Blue rivalry, I'll perk up a bit. just a big ask right now with how this team has not been closing games.

Might be optimism masking hopelessness. I had felt so good at how the team was coming together, even in our close loses when Sykes was hurt. But they were losses either way.
