My questions are:
1. Is recruiting with a very limited budget the root of the problem? Players with 3-star+ or 4 -star skills and high BB IQs are harder to come by, and they want compensation to come to LB.
2. Is the coaching the root of the problem? The players look to me to be burned out by Acker's quick hook and frequent yelling?
3. Is our poor basketball team's performance a combination of the first 2 questions? I am guessing a number of current players will hit the portal again this year. Last season only DMX remained on the roster. I hope that most of the players do not leave again this season.

It is an interesting question.
In the definitely yes case, the record, the long losing streaks, the ability to find ways to lose almost every close game.
But, there are questions that I do not know the answer to that might mitigate the case against Acker. The recent revelation that only 25 student athletes receive full scholarships makes me wonder how many of those are MMB players? Are we providing Acker with significantly less funds than the bulk of the BW schools? In the new climate (NIL, Pro instead of amateur) is it reasonable to expect winning without a competitive budget. I do know that Conoley made it clear when she put athletics under the budget director that winning was not the priority and that the only priority was controlling spending. Did they cut the program financially to the point that we are at the bottom of the BW? In a climate where we need to compete financially for players, are we Walmart, paying only minimum wage and hoping for high performing players?
I want to emphasize that I do not know the answer to these questions, but, I suspect that the actual answer may be a combination of both possibilities, Acker may be underperforming, but not as badly as it might seem given the lack of funding.

Dave I deserve to give my money to programs that put a good product on the court. This isn't about the players it is about the AD who chose this over his head coach that has no business running a College Basketball team. Acker is already on of the 5 worst coaches in the history of Long Beach State MBB.

Beachhead and Jr. The players played for you. They were picked by the coaches . Even they are disappointed with losses. Don't blame the players. They deserve the support even if you can not support the coaches.

Dumbest post of the year so far.
No, they in now way deserve any support.
This is an embarrassment. They could all leave tomorrow, we could call for walk ons and a janitor to coach this team and we might have a better result.

I hope everyone here will consider attending the teams post season banquets. The players and coaches should be supported even with all of the losses.
