Seeing how inept the men's and women's basketball teams are this year has given us little to cheer for
so far this year for Long Beach State athletics. Yesterday was a nice exception!

Men's Basketball - Won a nice road game vs. Bakersfield 88-87. Sykes had a huge 39 points. Too bad he is almost assuredly gone to a major school next year.

Women's Basketball - Won a thrilling overtime game vs. Bakersfield. Fisrt day this year that both programs won on the same day.

Softball - Won 2 games over Howard and a big 7-0 shutout win over Minnesota. Nice start this year!

Baseball - Beat BYU 7-6

Women's Beach Volleyball - Lost to UCLA as expected but beat Pepperdine 4-1 as our incredible #1's won their 100th match.

Men's Volleyball - Swept Concordia to go to 11-2. They should be a Final 4 team again!
