The UNC game is a memory I will have forever, but those days are all but gone unless you have something over someone or a coach leaves and gives a game back to the university to help out his old place. It showed what the community would do if we could bring event type games to the Mid, with plenty of games with 3500+ in the pyramid. The pregame was great as well, I was at On The Rocks, which may not have even been called that at that point, but was packed. Glad we kept it close in first half. That venue is awesome when packed, whether it was that game, the USA volleyball festivals they used to have, or our Men's team hosting the NCAA's. Heck even summer league used to be a great time, but I think that was Bron's first year so it was really crazy.

Regarding bigs, I still don't think a big is a necessity to be the focal point. Phelps and TJ gave plenty of people fits on both sides, with Edis as the backup. None of them were bigs, just played smart defensively and had great court awareness.

At end of day, wins will put more butts in the seats. I wish we had found a way to stay at the top of the Big West every year, do something with the pyramid (fix roof, build out fourth side with permanent seats pushing capacity closer to 5k on bottom level with alumni association/deck to replace sand bar at the offices level). Maybe there is only one Gonzaga who can sustain that success outside of the big boys, but even they finally said we need bigger brands and left the WCC. A true top 50 type program would bring more casual eyeballs, and been a great selling point in this time of NCAA upheaval.
