My thoughts were similar, he was going to play, warmed up some, felt a twinge in that ankle of his he injured and then did exactly what you said, not gonna chance it.
I too will follow his career, hope he soaks some power conference school like U$C for many hundreds of thousands, gets PT, has another solid year, and gets even more $$$.
Since we never found out anything unless an insider spills the beans, I'm thinking DMX got his degree, is bailing out to Indonesia to play for his national team and earn some $$$ (assuming they pay I think everyone does nowadays), and also didn't want to play in case he gets injured.

Gavin Sykes is not playing for one reason only. He is gone after Saturday and he isn't going to take a chance of getting hurt and losing money. This is what College Sports has become. A school gives a kid a chance and he goes and has a great year and is gone for $$$$$. I don't blame the kid as I wouldn't stay with this garbage coach or program either. I wish this kid nothing but the best and I will follow his career.
