Wasn't it a mandate by supporters that we hire an ex Dirtbag? And I thought there was a lot of support for this hire when it happened. Its sad the result is another failure, but if we limit hiring baseball HCs to ex Dirtbags we may miss out on a home run hire. This Dirtbag mystique seems to be a ghost haunting Blair Field more than any reality we can muster up in the program these days.

The Dirtbags continue their sinking season as they are about to get swept in Santa Barbara. They are down 5-2 in the bottom of the 8th. Looks like another lousy coaching hire by our over his head AD Bobby Smitheran. Now we have horrible coaches in MBB, WBB and now Baseball. At least incompetent Bobby looks like he got one right with our Softball coach who is from San Diego State. We are in deep trouble with the guy running the show.
