The thing is that underperforming is an ongoing issue with Pasternack and not a one year thing. Every year they are picked at the top of the BW based on talent, and every year they have issues. One outcome of an outside donor funding NIL money, is they will have the option to pull that funding, it seems to me that Pasternack's job may depend on their donor's willingness to continue to fund great recruiting without getting great results. Santa Barbara lost in the first round of the BWT tonight to Davis. After finishing the regular season in 7th place will head coach Joe Pasternack get fired? UCSB was one of the favorites to win the BW and to me they were the most disappointing team in the conference this year. Too much talent to finish 7th and lose in the first round.
