I would prefer a neutral site closer to OC or Los Angeles. Playing at a D2 school closer to us would be fine. Some high schools have nice buildings to play in as well. Need good parking though. Attendance today should be ok . We will see.

Butterly did not make this decision alone. ALL of the AD's in the conference voted to extend the contract-I assume with the blessing of coaches and President's. There must be something that we do not know that makes this an attractive venue.

Its a terrible look, but they must be making some money off it since its not about the fans. I agree that the top seeds should have home games and the finals played somewhere in SoCal which would likely attract 3-5k fans depending on the matchups. But its like talking at a brick wall, its gonna be in Henderson till 2030.

What's worse is the BW extended the contract until 2030.

It is very stupid. There are NO TEAMS that play in Nevada. Like I said before do away with the Tourney at a specific place and give the higher seeds home games for the whole tourney. You would get students at the games and in most place you would sell the place out. Butterly keeps acting like the BW is on par with the big conferences and they aren't even close. Just look at the attendance and that goes back years even when they placed the games in Anaheim or Long Beach back in the days.

I am watching the CSUN vs UCI game. This is a semi final game and the lack of attendance is remarkable. UCI is ahead early in the game.
How in the world does Butterfly, the Big West Commissioner, think that playing in Henderson is better for the member schools? In addition how does this make fans want to follow Big West Teams?
