Wasn't Amy the top recruiter for Texas and Kansas? She has three years left on her contract with us. Maybe she can find a way. Not the players she wanted for a run and gun team.

Are we really going to get excited or upset that the leading scorer for one of the worst WBB teams in the history of Long Beach State is leaving. Who cares? There were high school teams that could have beaten WBB this year. I hope she gets a good NIL deal but come on people take it down a notch.

Yes, it's difficult to build a program year over year at this level but want to point out that CSF was 13-7 in BW play this year yet we were 4-16.

Her decision to enter the portal was inevitable (much like G Sykes).
Two things that stand out, 1) scoring leader and 2) She's a long way from home.
The bigger concern for WBB is the turnover this year, losing 4 so far. How do you replace the younger talent and make progress?
As noted by others it's impossible to build a program year over year at this level.
What other elements exist at LBS to help sell the program?
Quality of degree program?
Weather?
Exposure?
Coaching?
Style of Play?
I think of this much like Army Football in the 90's when they put together an advisory group to strategize how to be competitive.
We have very limited resources, which can be addressed to a point.

Our top player is in the portal. Women's team was awful but could be even worse. I think Amy has run her course at The Beach!
