The problem is, how are UCI, UCSB, and CSUN getting good results? I think BW fans are somewhat delusional that we will win a first-round NCAA tourney game as a 14 or 15 seed. I would be very happy just to finish in the top third of the BW Conference in men's hoops and win the BW tourney. Our basketball programs are currently in a very bad place.

I think that probably half of the team will enter the portal before this round of NIL bidding is over. The guess is that Sykes will get about $1.5M, of which his agent will get a piece (some think that will be 20%). Our coach would love to have a budget for NIL of $1m!!! This is going to be an ugly ride for us for a while. NCAA is going to need to figure out how to control NIL and do it in a BIG hurry!!!! The "big" guys are going to drive us out of the competition for higher quality athletes in EVERY sport. It is already clear that if you do not have football money to help with all of the other sports, that your prospects for success are very low!!! Previous Message
