Pretty soon players will be making billions and fans eating beans and rice. To afford a game ticket. I haven’t gone to a baseball game in years. Don’t really miss it. I use to have partial season tickets. Same thing happened in professional sports as in college sports. Once played for the love of the sport. And now just play for the highest bidder.

MLB is in desperate need of a salary cap but the players union is so strong they likely strike like they have in the past insisting on no salary cap.

The Dodgers are the NIL kings of baseball. Best team money can buy, just like Michigan, UCONN at $10 million bball NIL, topped by Kentucky at $22 million. Tucker was offered $40 million and year so Dodgers bid $60 million a year and got him. Their player payroll is $550 million. Can mid major Pittsburg or Kanas City compete with that?? Money is the ruin of sports!
