A lot of these mid majors probably need to focus on olympic sports and let the football and basketball be played elsewhere. To compete the amount of money needed to be spent on MBB will be unattainable or drain everything from all other programs. Unless something dramatic changes the environment is not conducive for non power conference teams. Best bet is probably to hang on for a few more years and see if something shakes out that will keep mid majors in the game.

I really dont know what I am going to do, hang in there or just give up. I used to read this board 2 or 3 times a day. Now I read is once or twice a week. Used to live or die with the program. Have been a Season Ticket holder since the early 80's. Now Im still buying season tickets but may not next year. Dont go to half the games. If the Administration doesnt really care about the program why should I? Previous Message

This has gotten WAY beyond "out of control"!!! It is almost to the point of not being "fun" anymore. I am beginning to think that this is not our coaches fault, but the fault of the system. I am getting more comfortable with us and others like us dropping out of the NCAA or going to a Division II format. Maybe I am lucky to be almost 82 years old. I have always wondered how many years I would be able to keep supporting my 49'ers. If all of this portal s**t continues, maybe the maddness will make the decision for me!!! Previous Message
