Some good news here, #3 LB MVB looked dominant with the 3-0 sweep of #8 UCSB, 25-20, 25-19, 25-20.

UCBS without their star OH George Bruening, 6-10 dude and without him they became small and weak. First match in a while the opponent looked pretty bad and Beach looked very good.

Energy and some fire finally! Pazanti and Gajek are back but didn't start...played in some rotations though and looked ok. The setting from Doty and Pazanti was off, no one was regularly connecting. To even things out I guess, Kandev dove for a ball in set 1 and banged up his hip, was out for the rest of the match.

Varga had a good match until the 3rd set LB leading late like 20-17 UCSB had gone on a mini run, Varga has two kill attempts go out of bounds (he should have made both) and apparently some words were exchanged across the net, then later with the score 23-20 I think, a jaust between Varga and a UCSB guy was won easily by Varga, he said something, then UCSBs coach McLaughlin comes storming off the bench yelling at Varga! Varga to his credit barked back but what a lunatic McLaughlin is, same coach like 3 years ago didn't say a word as one of his bench players kept walking up the sidelines barking at our starters, that was the infamous weekend where up in SB on Saturday we won a tough 4 set match and Sotiris took his shirt off and joyfully ran around the court and interacted with the LB fans in attendance, infuriating the SB starters and their coach, lots of words exchanged, MB Bouchkov ready to fight anyone, it was a real typical LB SB hatefest.

This was just a little sampling, as moments later in the handshake line I didn't see any words. But man, their coach is a wingnut!
