Watched the game on ESPN, it was well attended by 49ers down in Nerdvine. Beach cruised in the first set, demolished UCI in the 2nd (maybe our best set all year) then lost momentum and made some mistakes losing the 3rd set, righted the ship and got a nice lead in the 4th set then had to fight off a late set charge by the Nerds but swatted them away 25-23.

Very satisfying 2 wins against the #5 UCI team who tried so hard all weekend to chirp across the net and get into it with us, we just kept blasting away instead and kept our chirping to a minimum. Gajek threw back some smack at UCIs frosh Jankovic and Woj had a better match.

Next game almost for sure vs UCI. CSUN is not so good this year.

I hope Kandev will at least be available for some service pressure. Bloom though has been nothing else but spectacular filling in. MVP of the weekend! Beach put up a huge block wall the first two sets then UCI figured out how to usually get around it but too late.
