NCAA still chose Hawaii as the 2 seed, which given they won 2 of 3 on the year, is understandable.

Big shout out to my coach of the year in the Big West! Get's handed the HC job a month before the season begins, works through multiple nagging injuries and a player headcase (Gajek), gets the team firing on most cylinders late in the seaon, gets the headcase squared up and playing lights out, handles a two setter two opposite problem nicely, and goes from being a little bit too practiced in interviews to a finals win interview that showed his authentic self and that is the Nick MacRae I've been waiting to see! I think we are in as good of hands as possible post Knipe and wading through this NIL BS.

It was unbelievable I think I had 3 mini heart attacks. Fought off 5 straight match points Hawaii had to win the 4th set 30-28 and stay alive. It was a match for the ages!
Wojciech Gajek was the Polish Power he bombed away for 27 kills on .489 hitting it has to be one of the best performances ever at the BWT finals. Varga and Larson were huge, the middles were big in some moments.
Hawaii might have overall outplayed us in the first 4 sets just ones of those things where we did the right things at the right time to squeeze out set 2 27-25 and 4 30-28. Won the 5th set outright led 13-8 at one time fought off some desperate Hawaii stuff to win it 15-11.
I was exhausted from it, imagine how the players feel!
