"Dear Beach Community,


Today, I invite you all to join me in congratulating our Long Beach State Men’s Volleyball team on an outstanding season, which included a remarkable run to the NCAA Final Four. Their performance is a reminder of what preparation, teamwork, and strong sportsmanship can make possible.


When our student-athletes compete on the national stage, they carry with each of them the name and spirit of this university. The pride we feel for them today is not only about how far they advanced, but about how they represented us along the way. This team represented Long Beach State in the very best of ways.


I also want to draw attention to the great work of the team’s coaches, the athletics staff and trainers, and all who supported our Men’s Volleyball team this season. Athletics has a distinctive way of bringing a university community together, and this team gave us a palpable reason to gather in shared pride.


We congratulate our Men’s Volleyball team, we thank them, and we look forward to continuing to celebrate their strength, and the strength of Beach Athletics.
