Senators Maria Cantwell (D-WA) and Ted Cruz (R-TX) are expected to release their bipartisan bill to regulate college sports this week, “though the legislation is not finalized,” according to Yahoo’s Ross Dellenger, who adds: “It would grant the NCAA a narrow antitrust exemption over transfers and eligibility. … Specific language in the bill – so far not finalized – will determine its support from college sports entities, like the Big Ten and SEC. … The bill also is expected to afford athletes protections, including guarantees related to scholarships and medical care and the ability - in certain aspects – to take legal action.” (link, link, link)
