I think Sykes has Big 12 talent and will do well at TCU. He's a good shooter and is tall enough to get his shot off. Plus, he got a big payday at TCU and has to be pretty happy about that.

I didn't read anything bad about his time with us. He was just honest. TCU will have a better incoming talent level in most years than we will. They play in one of the premier basketball conference in the country. He was very complementary of the coaches, and sounded maybe a bit frustrated he was the only reliable scorer. Seems about right.

Some of his quotes are a little eye opening. Not even a chance he was staying here even if he loved everything about LBSU, but I sense in his comments frustration with some dysfunction within the program. I wish he could have acknowledged how the coaching staff let him thrive on offense, basically gave him free reign offensively. Without that, he's still a portal xfer but nowhere near the same buzz.
