I'd say the same about ex Gaucho Ajay Mitchell so it can happen in the right circumstance.

Devin Askew was on Phoenix Suns summer league team. Probably entered the portal in case the lawsuits about others age/seasons played limits took hold. Had one solid game after not getting many minutes:
