It's more than football, but football is the most relevant as it's a fall sport. I read there is something like 30 of these cases, 100+ athletes involved.
The rub on a few of these is that the NCAA changed their requirements to 5 years of competition in a 5 year span. But that kicks in next year, so these guys are suing as they were 2022-2023, didn't redshirt, and are caught between the covid extra years who got more time, and the new rules that get the extra year no questions asked. This doesn't concern us but judges are allowing college football players who left early to sign with the NFL to return to their schools.. If they get cut they are able to return to college football.
