Hamaker has improved her shot since last year. It is heavier & can be more accurate. I did not see the 2 nd LA match, but her stats were not outstanding, it looked like they set her a lot a the Ruins were expecting it. Which leads me to my second important item. The university need to reimbursed by the poaching university for recruitment, travel to recruit, our training, room, board & books. In other words we have an investment, receive nothing in return for their good fortune. It is the rich feasting on the poor. I think it will stand in court, especially in a jury trial.
If we fail to do this simple things, I know the trial can last a long time, I am sure there are LBSU legal alum which provide pro bono. Or the university legal department could use their outside advice, counsel & experience. Maybe the Prez should look into that matter too.
I am tired of the State legislature grinding us down and the wealthy schools poaching our players with no fee for costs incurred.

It was a wonderful crowd of over 3,000 last night and I was there. In my opinion we will be good but certainly not as good as last year. For starters we have Maddy Maxwell a year older and a year better and while most of her sets were good she made more than her normal share of setting mistakes. She did have more kills than usual which will be needed with our lack of powerful hitters this year. There is no way this team replaces Logan King. Hammaker is a nice hiiter who jumps well but most of the time her hits are not powerful. After game one she was double and triple blocked much of the time which limited her impact in games 2-4. Johnson will help at times but her lack of height will be exposed in some matches. It's a nice team which will finish in the top 3 or 4 in a weak Big West, but making the NCAA tourney will be very difficult in my opinion.
