I like the Massey rating give a more realistic ranking early in the season. There are three BW teams in the top 100.

LBSU is playing very well right now and look like a legitimate BW champion contender. The team has some players that can play at a pretty high level and the coaching staff continues to improve every year. Have to give Coach Natalie a lot of credit for building a team and culture that can compete and grind when necessary.

Great year so far for the ladies. The UCLA start was tough, but they have bounced back nicely.

LMU had beat a quality Ole Miss team en route to their 7-1 record, so the win carries weight for our gals sweeping them.

Next us is Wazzu before Big West. Need to win both to bolster our chances of at large down the road, which is going to be tough out of the Big West. Without Hawaii, we are carrying the league right now, 48th in estimated RPI, with next team at 140+. No one has beat a top50 team this year. We're the only one to have a top 100 win (2-2).

Great win over previously 7-1 LMU, 25-18, 25-17, 25-19. Solid performance, especially in the first two sets, and in the second half of the third, to close it out. Especially great play by Sidney Hamaker and MB Reagan Hope. Also solid backrow play, and Izzy Mahaffey’s serving, which included four aces.

They stumbled a bit at the start of the third set, but came together about half way through, and dominated the remainder of the set to close out the win.

Six wins in a row. Keep it going.
