If this El Nino manifests into one of those rain machines the most serious aspect for the Pyramid is that these storms tend to funnel in from the west / southwest dragging all that subtropical moisture along with it, along with persistent strong winds from the south and west which will drive the rain up through the panels on the southwest facing (blue entrance) side which tends to be where the water typically gets into the Pyramid.
If it were up to me, I'd spend 75% of any funds for shoring things up on that blue entrance side. That's also the side where the overpass chunked out a few years ago. Its the side that probably gets the most weathered by all storms, but El Nino ones could be direct hits on it, one storm after another can happen for a couple weeks if the weather pattern is just right.
No guarantee this will happen, just a stronger possibility than normal.

I hope that, with the predicted El Niņo, LBS has a better plan when rain makes the Myd unusable. I hope the plan is not to move the games to the Gold Mine. So far, the plan seems to be to pray for no rain. Previous Message

Yes, I thought Utah Valley was OOC but it's not so we get 11 conf games this year. I get confused between Utah Valley

I only see 2 OOC home games, v Portland and UOP and I count 10 OOCs total not including the exhibition at SDSU. Previous Message
OOC games show 8 away and 3 home. I am sure UCLA, San Jose, and Utah are paid dates. It's hard to believe we get paid to go to San Jose. Previous Message

Crappy home non conference schedule, so few games...sucks
Portland home game Dec 22 Tuesday 2 pm...stupid, should be 6pm or later
Saturday games start at 6 pm instead of 2 or 4 pm...good
The teams we play in nonconf are a good mix of what we should, a few tough bodybags for $$, some winnable roadies if we are any good, but the home slate of Pacific and Portland only is really stupid, way to treat the fans.
Home fans get a decent game on Nov 11. Then the BW game almost a month later on the 3rd. Then a 2 pm Tuesday tilt with a decent opponent.
A few things are good with this schedule, but the home nonconference stinks. And I can't remember the last time we only had 13 home games and on a 32 game schedule to boot (yeah 3 are a road tournament).
We continue to scrape the bottom. Not sure what can be done besides an injection of many millions per year, ain't happening. Previous Message
Only 2 home games until later in December. Schedule is like what CDM would put together without some of the big paychecks.

MBB will play 13 home games and have 19 road games this year. They will open at Utah on Monday Nov 2nd and they will go to UCLA on Nov 16th.
