It was like watching a high school match. Lots of lollipop rainbows from the setter and the other 5 people. Can the back court dig a ball without a rainbow pass to the front court? Can the front court move along the net and make a solid block? Can anyone drill an overpass for a kill rather than letting it fall on their side. Can people putting the ball across for a free ball put it in the backcourt allowing them to set up defensively? Wow, errors were all preventable and just require a little thinking on the court. I hate to be a downer but these are skilled players not playing like skilled players. Every moment on the court requires their intensity and concentration, I.e. the killer instinct to be the very best at that moment in time.

CSUN DOMINATED us tonight. They not only ate our lunch, but our breakfast and dinner as well!!! From looking very good since the beginning of the season, tonight we just played extremely poorly. Let's hope that we can regroup at Bakersfield tomorrow night!!! Previous Message
Too many, like lots of unforced errors. Previous Message
A couple of very noticeable differences. Maxwell sets lollipops which allows csun blockers to set up. Collins sets a faster lower set which keeps csun off guard as does the csun setter. The old adage is if you can’t pass you can not win. As a collarary if you pass high then the opponents a better chance to setup a block. I guess I am spoiled because I saw too many little things that Brian’s teams never did, like miss an overpass. This team has a lot to work on before the tournament. Fortunately it is just attention to small details that wins matches.
