Agree. A couple of things I forgot to mention. 1) they were putting the overpass down as a frontline should. Pola was phenomenal. 2) The frontline was moving down the line more quickly and it made a difference. Jelinek puts most of her passes on the point, meaning the setter did not have to rush around for the second ball. The more the setter stays in system on the initial pass the better the chance of her making a good low set to an open hitter (covered by one opponent) to run a fast game. They need to run an error passing game and set a faster game to beat Poly.

Long Beach gets a solid win in four. 23-25, 25-18, 25-19, 25-18. Could've been a sweep if not for allowing that 10-1 Santa Barbara run in the first set. The team almost came back from that to take that set, and fortunately kept the momentum going. Very good defense for most of the night, but they will need better production from their left side hitters tonight.

I’m watching set 4, Beach has the lead however they are not playing the faster game they played in 2 & 3. Too any rainbows from Max & Jelinek. Hamacker has been hitting thru the block and her serve is a killer. Beach has gone red with a 6 point lead. The Beach block is awesome. I do not hear a lady singing, but barring any unforeseen circumstances, they should take the match. Previous Message
I hope that our ladies are ready to play this weekend as we face the other top 2 teams in the Big West. No let-downs like we had against CSUN. I do think that CSUN has a good team and that we caught them when they had some of their pkayers back and were really up to play us. GO BEACH/GO 49'ers!!!!
