My knee is supposed to be elevated when I'm laying down, and for some reason, the cats are drawn to wanting to be on the highest thing around. THAT didn't last after the first time one of them walked right onto the area over my incision! (Thankfully it was well-padded, but still - ouch!)

So now I sleep with one of those little plastic stepstools over my knee. The cats are happy because they can perch there without consequences, and I'm happy because I don't have to worry!

Looks dumb, but it works!
