My 12 year old cockatiel just died yesterday. No warning. Birds can be like that - they hide their symptoms well.

I picked him out as a hatchling and got him as soon as he was able to graduate from handfeeding to eating on his own.

I'll miss hearing him sit in his cage saying "I'm a pretty bird!" over and over.
