My mail box got pretty well messed up a week ago and by the angle, position, paint and hit was no doubt the carriers vehicle more then likely the mirror and frame.

Called them up and they gave me want proof stuff in regards to video or witnesses.

I told them 10 years law enforcement and some of it traffic crash reports and investigations. That I could send them a detailed summery of the incident including visual aids with step by step occurrence.

They said not good enough.

I said so my word's not good enough.

"No sir, its not that. We have to have some kind of documentation it was an actual event caused by a carrier"

After what I just advised I can provide?

"You can sir but unless it's video or a 2nd party witness I do not think it will be something fully looked into"

So much for the tax payers word.

"Sorry sir"

No you're not.

I said then I will put a note in the mail box door "Make sure you don't hit my mailbox again". And said thank you and hung up.

I replaced it today with great aggravation in the heat and my nephropathy giving me fits.
