I previously posted about getting Sara's raw. Kira is on dry, and I have a bag - bought fairly recently - so I'm telling myself I should be good. But I got more and more preoccupied with the idea that I'd like to have a spare. Before I lost Angel, I always had one and a spare, so that's not really a change - it's just that when I went to buy this last bag, I figured it would last much longer now, so there was really no reason to buy an extra that would just sit there aging as I used the first bag. But I started to reconsider that decision.

The store where I buy this food has instituted a curbside pickup policy - no customers in the store. So I drove up there to wait at their opening time. A gal came right out, I told her what I wanted, and she said she'd check to see if they had it. So I sat back to wait.

And here's the moment this story is about: As I saw her come to the door of the store with a bag of the food in her arms, I found my eyes tearing up with the relief of it! I hadn't realized how worried I was up until then. But now I should be good for at least a couple of months.

Also went and got a spare bag of bird food for my little feathered buddy. So now I think I'm about as set as I can be for the critters without giving in to hoarding. It's definitely a relief!
