I was not affected by the Mountain fire, I live North of the Mountain, we got the smoke. It was pretty devastating and apparently three people were seen lighting fires. Haven't heard too many reports of animals but there will have been hundreds, especially the little Cape Dassies that live on the mountain. Cape Town University library was destroyed with hundreds of historic books and papers stored there. There have been many roumours about this and dissaffected students as the Library building is surrounded on all sides by other buildings, none of which were affected.

CLeo is doing just fine, she is now eating well, I wouldn't say she's eating the best but I give her what she wants and sneak some of the good stuff in there too I have found some arthritis pills which I am managing to get down her and she is enjoying the sun for a couple of hours daily, out in the yard.

Pixie has been having severe allergies with the itchies. We have tried a number of different (expensive) pills - which work for a while, my Vet things it is pollens and so the next step will be allergy testing - otherwise she is doing really well and starting to learn a few tricks.
