I have eye drops I take daily for my glaucoma, and they leave my vision kind of blurry for a couple minutes afterwards.

Well, last night after I put them in, I was walking to the kitchen and felt something under my foot. Didn't HEAR anything, but a moment later saw a scurry of movement. I had FULLY stepped on Kira's tail, and the poor girl didn't even scream - just took off as soon as she could!

She then spent the next hour or so avoiding me - giving me the side-eye, and just generally making me feel awful! I apologized to her over and over, and eventually she ventured into my lap, but still seemed apprehensive.

I'm happy to report that this morning she's back to following me around, just generally pestering me for attention, and making a beeline for my lap the minute she hears any hint of me sitting down. In fact, right now I'm having my usual challenge typing this because she keeps grabbing my hand to pet her. So I think I'm forgiven.

But I sure felt like a bad momma last night!
