Just a shout out to all and a thank you for offering suggestions for the unhappy cat I'm dealing with. My friend's wife asked if I could help out again today so I'll be going this AM.
I just remembered that my friend had a laser light that he used for playtime with the cat - hoping that I can find it and maybe try it - willing to give it a go. I'm a dog woman as I haven't had a cat but I do love all animals. Hoping it will work. I'm rather frustrated with the family as I don't understand why the cat can't be with them - the kids found the cat years ago when it was a kitten and when my friend and his wife divorced, he took the cat - as he loved it dearly. Cat remains all alone 24/7 and it's been 2-1/2 weeks as of today since owner has been hospitalized. He has advanced lung cancer, having much difficulty with his breathing and the harsh reality is he most likely won't be returning home. Although they are divorced, wife wants him to come home with her and the kids if discharged. the cat remains a mystery as to who takes her - frustrating to say the LEAST.
I hope all goes well. And I hope the fate of this kitty turns out good. Poor little thing. Do you go often? Does it have enough food/water? Thanks for caring.
