hope you folks don't tire of my updates on my friend's cat but I know you care deeply for cats and I want to keep you in the loop...
I went to feed/water today and when I opened the door she was right there - maybe she heard my car although I do suspect she's waiting for her owner. This time she didn't growl at me and I brought her some canned Macrel that I found at the store - it's super stinky but I figured a cat might go for it and boy did she. This time I didn't spray her with water but one time she started getting a bit testy with me and I shook the can of pennies - that seemed to do it and as I was filling up her food bowl she got close to my leg and I felt brave enough to pet her back and she let me. I was amazed. She wouldn't allow me to go into the bathroom though to clean her litter box and I didn't push the issue.
My dear childhood friend has been coughing super hard now and has been coughing up blood according to his wife, I will see him tomorrow.
I heard from the cat rescue woman that specializes in "difficult cats" she wanted to know where the cat lives and wants me to keep on communicating with her about the situation.
Friend's wife told me "another week to contact the cat rescue woman" She hoping for what would be a major medical miracle considering my friend has an aggressive form of lung cancer, a compressed lung, tumors in both, large blood clots in his leg, diabetes and the latest - pneumonia. I thought it was time I shared a photo I took of him with the cat - I took this photo in April - he's a highly educated engineer and was extremely happy that the radiation to his brain (he also had brain tumors) had completely eliminated the tumors. He told me the cat slept with him nightly and followed him into the bathroom. Please do not share this photo or info that I share with you folks on FB thank you.
(((hugs))) to you for caring and helping ...nm
