Sorry. been dealing with some health issues here. And me, who's always been so healthy, it's just scary.

I can really use some prayers!

Been going on with whatever this is for about 8 weeks now. And the main issue now is my eye is swollen. Been to the doctor tons of times, then to an ENT, had a CT scan of my sinuses (they seem like congested sorta...but guess CT says they are not). Was told to go to an opthomologist. Went there and he sent me a a orbital plastisurgeon at one of the top hospitals here. He wants to do a incisional biopsy. Kinda major.

I went and had an abcessed tooth pulled Friday, hoping that was causing all this inflammation in my eye. Tooth still swollen. So we wait, til it's down.

The surgeon said someone would call to schedule the biopsy. I didn't answer the phone Friday. But they called today again, and wanted me in TOMORROW! No way!! I need to digest this and see what the best course of action is, wait on the tooth to see how it heals and maybe try pred for swelling on the eye. I need to make an appointment with my general doctor. He's very nice and give very good of his time. Maybe he can answer more questions for me.

We got more serious issues too going on too, so say some prayers for them too. This has been a horrible couple months.

So please send prayers! And mine are with all of you. Even if I didn't post, I read the posts below.

with that eye. Sometimes I think doctors are idiots. Well some are for sure. I watch Mystery Diagnosis and it's mind boggling how many doctors people need to see before finding one that knows what's going on. Have they given you antibiotics?
I don't think you should wait Val. If it's something serious behind the eye it should be taken c/o sooner than later. Sending prayers. I'm so sorry about all your troubles.

Thanks for posting to me. I have been dealing with this for about 8 weeks. I've been on penicillin, doxycycline, cephalexin and clindamycin. Nothing helped. I've had a pred pack and that did help, though it came back afterwards.

It's not painful but very uncomfortable, my eye feels pulled and strained from the pressure. and sometimes it goes into my forehead and gets nu7mb too, from the pressure or whatever.

I had an abcessed tooth pulled last week, hoping it was that (that tooth was a problem for a very long time, but didn't hurt...root canal that went bad from years ago). That's out and a week later, still swollen eye.

But...weirdly after I was on Advil for the day and a half afterewards, it felt really good as far as swelling and pressure....though the swelling was still visible, just didn't FEEL bad.

So today, I took an Advil again cause it was kinda bad feeling and we were going to try to go to the Renaissance Faire here (been so long since I did anything actually fun...even going out to eat is not fun). And hey, the Advil helped. It still was a little pressure, but liveable and I was able to go and watch things. I do need sunglasses, and I need a brim cap (baseball cap) cause brightness/sun bothers me.

Strange, not long ago, I was fine...and suddenly this. The Orbital Plastisurgeon is going to call me on Monday (well his office is), to answer any questions so I can think things through and make an appointment. I dread Monday. I hate going...you know me and docs/vets. But I may have no choice. Yes, please send prayers, I'm very scared.

Hi Val,
I'm so sorry for all you are going through! How horrible! I feel bad you and your family are going through a lot. I will keep you all in prayer and especially regarding your eye. I hope they figure out what is going on and it is something very manageable. Don't let it go though, you only have two eyes and you do not want to mess with them. I hope things turn around for all of you very soon and get better. Keep us updated. Sending prayers....((((HUGS))).

Reminds me of years ago when I started getting blinding headaches that woke me in the night, and my eye was really messed up - swollen and sensitive.I thought I had a brain tumour. Turns out it was a bad wisdom tooth causing all that. After it was extracted everything slowly returned to normal. Hoping this will be the case for you as well!

that gives me some hope that this is all related. Can I ask if the tooth was on top or bottom. Mine was on bottom, and the opthomologists didn't think it was related.

But my doctor said it could be and get rid of that tooth. My tooth is still swollen and healing, so I have to see how it turns out after that. BUT....for some weird reason my eye doesn't feel as bad today...still swollen, but internally it's not putting as much pressure inside of my head.

I HOPE and PRAY this is the beginning of this resolving!

I'm very scared of this biopsy surgery. I don't want even to think about it. So, I sure hope this goes away.

How long after the tooth was pulled did your eye heal? Thanks for the info.

I'm sorry to be so long in answering

I've got so much going on around here. Anyway, IIRC, it was weeks before I got back to normal. The removal of the wisdom tooth was pretty bad and the whole side of my face and my eye so sore.

I just went to my dentist on an off-chance my pain was tooth-related. I was just so relieved I didn't have a brain tumour that not much else in the healing period bothered me. I hope the same for you!

I had my tooth out about a week and half ago. Unfortunately, no change in my eye.

. I may have no choice but to go for that surgery for a biopsy. Very scary. But I can't live like this so we'll see. I'm still fighting against it, hoping for that miracle.
