Apparently as the show tours, they also find homes for foster kittens and donate some of their proceeds to local shelters in the areas where they are performing. Sounds like a good group!
Samantha and The Acrocats have made two stops in Louisville. The show is a lot of fun and they do a lot of good work in finding homes for kitties. Most of the times the cats do their little tricks, but as Samantha points out, they are cats and they do have a mind of their own. Sometimes a kitty may decide to go stroll around the audience. They only thing that Samantha asks is that people don't pet them if they do that. The last time I saw them, a new kitty decided to tour the crowd. I was on the front row and said kitty decided that she loved my shoes. She kept rubbing her face against them! She finally wandered back to the stage and all was well.
Besides having cats in the show, there are some trained rats, a chicken, and a gopher. It's a very entertaining show and I would highly recommend seeing them if you have a chance.
