My poor little Peep Peep...msg

She got locked in the linen closet all day yesterday. Probably was from morning when Dave or Everett were going to work. I didn't use that bathroom or linen closet yesterday. Poor little girl in the small dark closet for such a long time. Unless it was later and they didn't realize.

I heard some banging in the bathroom last night around midnight. Saw Grandpa in there by the closet. He must have been pecking or knocking the door to get her out. You'd think she would have meowed all day. I'd maybe have heard her.

I opened it and she strolled out and said "Peep" and went to the food bowl. I went to bed again. No pee or poo in closet. And she's no worse off from this situation. It's morning, and she's in bed with me like usual. I included a pic I just took from my phone which I keep in bed too. 😁 Scarey though. I usually kinda know when someone's not around but have distracted with my eye issue I suppose. Not as alert lately. I need to be more vigilant. Glad my baby is ok.

Board getting quiet again. Come in folks...

This is her second time in solitary. First time, she was somewhat frantic. Poor thing tried so hard to dig herself out of there that her white fur was gray in parts.

This time, she went in there when I was heating soup in the microsave that's in the laundry room. It was late. I was watching a movie. I heard her meowing but she does that from the bedroom, too. Then I realized she was in there. Again.

She gets frantic when I free her. She has abandonment issues and needed lots of reassurance I still loved her. Poor baby.

Glad your Peep Peep is okay!

This is why I always count cats when I go into a room, just to be sure no one snuck in behind me..nm

My gosh she is just adorable! Poor little girl! I've had that happen with Sami once in awhile in the bathroom downstairs for a few hours. I sometimes put her in to finish her food because the other cats go after it as soon as they are done. And I've forgotten she was in there. Open the door and she comes running out. Lol. Glad Peep Peep is ok. She looks like such a sweetheart!

I bet she was glad to get out again. BUT sometimes that's what they do to us. Years ago my Moppett did that to me - hid - I couldn't find her for hours and eventually there she was lying on a pile of neatly folded sweaters in a cupboard on a shelf above eye level. The relief is overwhelming when you find them.

What a cutie! With one cat who must go through every open door and another who closes every open door, I've had to make sure I can see everyone before leaving the house. And resorted to propping bedroom doors open with 5-lb dumbbells so they cannot be closed while I'm out.

I'm so glad she is no worse for wear. I've done the same thing with Jazzpurr. The longest she was in was two full days/nights. With 12, I don't always see every fur, but I know they don't run outside. She finally made enough noise on the 3rd morning that I heard her. She bolted to the bathroom and then went to eat. I felt horrible. But now I watch for kitties when I'm in and out of closets.
