How everyone is? How are the Broken bones doing,PJ and Pat B - are either of you still in a cast/Brace. How is rehabilitation going?

How are those of you with the flea problems going. Is it dying down with the colder weather?

I am hoping all is getting back to normal for everyone.

Mr D is fine again, running around with no after effects. I wish I knew what causes this - it normally lasts for a couple of days - when he won't put his foot down - and then it just goes away pffft. I never hear him yelp, as if he has twisted something.

Everyone - please stay safe with no more accidents.

Good to hear that Mr. D is doing well again. Hope it stays that way. Maybe arthritis? Anyway, glad he's better.

Regarding our flea dilemna, wI think I got it licked and within a week. I shampooed the carpet in a weekm 3 times (3rd time today). I gave the kittens capstar, which is an oral med and really safe. Kills fleas on them for 24 hours. I need to give again maybe tomorrow, since I shampooed carpet today. (downstairs only, kittens only). But I haven't seen fleas since the 2nd shampoo, just did it 3rd time to be extra safe. I think they are gone! Yay!

When we were in Chicago many years ago, that's all that worked, was shampooing the carpet and then giving med. Worked this time too.

fleas seem to be under control...I got stink eye for two days from Ziba for medicating her last Wednesday...this coming Saturday is the San Francisco SPCA's adoptathon...it should be great.

Yoko turned 16, hyperthyroid being managed, and is frequently seen acting like a young cat, thanks to the love and attention of Jasper and Sabrina. I have never had truly bonded cats, and the dynamic relationships of these three is a beautiful thing to observe.

Yoko is officially the oldest cat I have ever had (Heather's real age was unknown, though most likely 16, 17 or 18. Ali passed just shy of her 16th birthday). So, every day I count my blessings and try to prepare myself. From a sickly little runt of the litter, and my first failure of Fostering 101, who ever would have imagined that she would end up the healthiest.

The oldest cat I ever had was 19 when she passed. I got her as a VERY feral kitten of 6 months. She became the Grand Old Dame of my clowder - when I was fostering baby kittens, she was the one who taught them their manners.

I wonder if it has anything to do with the weather, in much the same way as people sometimes complain of achey or creaky joints when the weather changes? Have you tried glucosamine?

As to updates, did you look through the thread below? Most of what you asked about is there, and I guess because typing one-handed (and LEFT-handed at that!) is pretty laborious, I'd hope not to have to type it all again!
