Spent yesterday with a dead weight lump of meat (nerve block!) hanging from my shoulder and today the feeling is coming back - ouch! But it's what to be expected.

Hopefully the worst will be over in a couple days or so!

I was planning to post later in the day.

Yes, I'm nervous. I asked when I should plan on being able to go back to work, and the answer was that it would depend on my pain level and how well I'm tolerating it. Eeek!

But it must be done. I've survived other surgeries, and I'll survive this one, too!

a nerve block over general anesthesia and the recovery is MUCH easier. Maybe you will get a choice too...((hugs))

Yes, they said I'll have a nerve block. But I'll also be "out" (sedation, I believe, rather than general anesthesia) so I won't feel it OR be awake for it.

That is much better than dealing with coming out of general. They woke me up in the operating room. I felt fine.
