You must be so tired - having to be so vigilant. It will all be worth it in the end.
I am almost back to "human ode" and I even got Mr D out for a short walk today. Sending love and good healing thoughts Cats are like Potato Chips - you can't have just one
Wondering how you and your bronchitis was cause I didn’t see you here. Glad to hear you’re better.
I’m getting past the stitches stage. Took her in again Monday yobyuevtgem up again and she hasn’t bothered them since. They come out this coming Monday. Been easier cause I can sleep in here with her better now without that worry.
Now my big worry is her wanting to go too much. she wakes up at night, and looks for things to do. She always is looking st the hanging clothes and I worry she doesn’t grab something and get caught by a claw and hang with her bad leg. I need to trim her claws.
She’s eyeing a small shoe cabinet I have . Looks like she wants to jump on it. I have to move it just in case.
We’re doing ok considering everthing. We had to go in a few times for restitching but yesterday the vet said it looks pretty healed and not to worry if it happened again. Try as I may, there’s times when I do doze off while sleeping in closet with her. I try not to let my guard down til she’s sleeping well, but she can wake at any time. We’re on day 8. Stitches come out next Monday. That will be good.
I took her off all meds, after day 4 instead of day 10. Though she was on few days before surgery too (so maybe 7 days). I didn’t like how she was acting, and she seemed fine near the next dose, so I don’t think she was in that much pain. Those meds were highly addicting. And I do think she went through withdrawal for a day and a half after she was off. Went from super sedation one minute to wide awake and disoriented the next, then back to deep sleep minutes later. I was worried, but suddenly she just became herself again, recognized me well and responded. And no need for meds cause she even wanted to play. I had to kerp her quiet best I could.
I still do sometimes, and it will get harder the better she feels. I take her back in 3 weeks for xrays to see healing progress. She’s still has to be confined for 5-7 more weeks.
We’re getting there. Will be glad when it’s over. And hoping she heals well. Keep praying.
How are you feeling? Praying for you too!
Posting a couple pics, one the day after surgery, with all the bruising on her leg. And one from now, 8 days later, same position. I think we made progress. 😁 Stitches kinda on side and you can’t see, but originally much more bruised than the leg pic shown. I thought I’d spare the gory details. Few humps but we are getting there. 😁
I am in love with that foofy tail....I hope she likes being brushed or combed...I love grooming the cats at the SPCA, especially the foofy ones who let me do their tails....

By those pics, she looks very much better!!! As she feels better and better, it will be more difficult to keep her still to finish healing, especially with her age!!! She is beautiful!! I am ok right now, due for a treatment Thursday (ick)!!! It is past due, as I had no white blood cells, but they have regenerated!!!! Until then am with my furred ones, Buddy and LilBit!!!!
