She's been diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis.She's 28 now and lives in arizonia so the only way we can help is to pay her insurance co pays.Its breaking our hearts.

I hope she is able to get the best of care and that the disease does not get severe for her! My thoughts and prayers are with her and you during this. It is good you can assist with the insurance! Some of the treatments for thIs are very pricy and it will open doors for her. It is

Your granddaughter. Autoimmune diseases are really lousy to deal with. Especially when you’re so young like that. I hope they are wrong, they are so many times. And if not, I hope it doesn’t affect her much got many many years.

Thanks Val.She started falling about 2 months ago.She works for a podiatrist that told het to get tested for RA,results were positive for it.
To make matters worse she was born with a dislocated hip and is having diddiculty walking.

because we had to pay around 6 thousand(it felt like a million) for full braces with head gear.

Such a shame. Couldn’t they fix the dislocated hip? I hope she can get on some med to help her walk easier. I know they recommend methotrexate for rheumatoid arthritis. I was told to go on that for a different problem, but didn’t. It was just a shot in the dark. And I weighed potential versus the risks.

But for rheumatoid it’s suppose to help. But all those meds scare me. I am not a big believer in doctors, meds, inoculations, surgeries, etc. but sometimes we have no choice.

I hope things work out for her. Sending prayers.
