It's been quiet here again msg

How is everyone? It has been so cold here and we have had rain!!, more to come. The day before yesterday there was a huge thunderstorm with hail. Hoping (when the cloud lifts) to see snow on the mountains.

Daves dad went in for a pacemaker and we’ve been in Chicago a lot for doctor appointments, shopping, and helping them with something or another . We take him for follow up on pacemaker Wednesday.

Thankfully our cat Steve has recovered from
his hind end injury. He’s walking again without pain.
Peatrie’s running like a crazy nut. Mischka still has big growth on chin. It is what it is.

My eyes still bother me , some days better, someveorse.

Daves retired and we’re doing a lot of stuff. We’re really busy every day. He’s very happy to be home. Been hot here, been using the pool a lot.

dog-sitting for my sister this last week. She has two dogs, a Golden Retriever and a Cavipoo. They are nice dogs but it's good to get back to a "cats only" household. I haven't had a dog for about seven years and forgot how much work they are

. They also followed me everywhere for the whole week. My older cats didn't mind them but it took a few days for the youngsters to feel comfortable.

Not much going on here....lots of time spent at SPCA loving on kittens...nm

I had a health scare, which I don't want to go into detail about, but all's well, so that's a relief.

On top of that, my horse has been lame, so it's been frustrating that I haven't even had riding as a stress relief outlet. Yesterday I had a chiropractor who also does acupuncture out to see him. I've never done chiropractic or acupuncture before - either for me or for an animal - so I know nothing about it and this was a new experience. He said that if it's going to help, I won't know for a couple of days. Keeping my fingers crossed!

And in the middle of all that, one of the cats developed a UTI. Bloody pee! THAT was exciting! A round of antibiotics knocked it out, and she's fine now. But I tell you, finding bright red pee will REALLY get your attention!

I'm hoping everyone is on the upswing - the cats, the horse, and me!

Everyone has been in the wars. I hope YOU are feeling better, with regards to acupuncture - I used it for Bronte when she was going downhill and it certainly helped her and I THINK, kept her going longer than would have been otherwise. I hope the antibiotics are working for the UTI.

I'm looking forward to Friday

That's when I can try riding him, and I'll see how his gait is looking. Regardless, I went ahead and scheduled a lesson for this weekend (with the chiro's approval) and my trainer has a lot more knowledgeable eye than I do, so it will be good to get her assessment.

And as for the UTI - it's been a couple of weeks, and no more signs of blood, so the antibiotic looks to have done its work.

Stay warm. Damp cold is the WORST!
