Well, we are now under quarantine...msg

The Mayor of San Francisco, along with surrounding counties have ordered a shelter in place for the next two weeks....basically they do not want people socializing in order to try and stop this bug....the girlz don't know it yet, but they are getting their flea treatment tomorrow if I am not feeding at the SPCA....
How is every one else doing? Guardian of 4?

cases of the virus in Georgia with 1 in our county.It looks like a deserted city here.Everyone is afraid to go out.Prayers for everyone.

that ALL clubs must close, schools are closed early. People advised to stay at home where possible. I am a bit peed off as my Dog Training Club was my only social outlet and we work outdoors on a field.

The virus hasn't hit here really hard yet but it will be worse than anywhere when it does. All of the people coming in to work every day from the townships have to travel on Publix Taxis (they are mini busses really) They are supposed to seat 15 but often have 25 all crowded in together, no form of sanitation wipes on them. Also these people in the townships live in terrible conditions, often a whole family per room in a house and all sharing the one bathroom, the landlords provide no cleaning products. Often the daily fare to and from work costs half the days pay. Our Public hospitals are so bad it's frightening, often 2 to a bed and mattresses or just blankets on the floor. Our one "isolation" hospital in Cape Town claims it is "ready as it has 8 isolation beds available".

for your country, That is so scary and I pray they come up with some sort of vaccine before you get hit really hard with this. It's so hard to hear about what happened to China and now Italy. It's like a real life horror movie!!

Neither of us is sick but he's 78 and I'm 75 so we will just have to wait it out.

Will your girls be your only company? We have 9 cats to keep us busy.Please be careful and stay safe.

usually he comes here, but because of his age I think I will be going there, unless he absolutely wants to see the girlz...in which case he will come here...but we try not to go out in public... according to the rules, both he and I (66) should restrict our outings...I am healthier than he is, so plan to switch...my girlz do not like cars, so they will stay at home...

None of our cats like cars or carriers...

They're all former ferals and all 9 still have feral issues.Given your dads age,it would be wise to go to him.At least in my opinion.

It so sweet that he wants to see your girls,it gave me a giggle.Pleast be careful.

I know it's become necessary because of all the people who wouldn't follow social distancing guidelines, but it still stinks!

Stay sane! (I know the cats will help a lot - what DO people do when they have to quarantine without critters?!)

How are you getting food?

We can still do food shopping and...msg

pick up prescriptions...they just do not want people out in public...it sort of sucks for me, as I love going to the SPCA and feeding the cats and socializing them...but them is the breaks. There has been a run on goods, and some lines but nothing too weird...it should calm down once people settle into place...my two girlz were not too sure about me sleeping in this morning, but seem to be adjusting...
